We finally made it to Itabune yesterday after a 29 hour bus ride. But as long as the busride was it was still worth it in my eyes. It took us through flat dry farmland, cities rimmed by rundown favilas, and thickly forested mountains peppered by makeshift mud huts. It really showed me how much we take for granted back home. There was also 4 British and one other Canadian person taking tyhe bus aswell. They we´re doing close to the same trip as us.
Nicolle then met us off the bus and took us back to her apartment where she lives with her father and sister. It is very nice. Then today she took us shopping for new bathing suits and whatnot on the streets near her home.
Oh right, the night before we left we tested out a Sao Paulo bar and through a mix of friendly locals and language confusion, we ended up drinking twice the amount for half the money and got a tad tipsy. We have similar intentions for this evening.
